I was the biggest non believer of ghosts or spirtiual activity, my wife and I always watch the shows of ghost hunters and ghost adventures on the television. i always thought it was interesting to watch, always commenting on how things could be de-bunked and not believe. Up until 2 weeks ago. Now this has only happen to me twice where i have heard what has to be explained as paranormal activity. it started when i was watching tv in bed one night ( wed ) it was 0217 hours and i heard a distinctive women laughing on our stairs ( approx. 8-10 feet away from our bed.) i jumped out of bed turned the light on and not believing it i stated " do that again" then i heard a loud sigh. freaked out i then feel asleep finally after laying in bed for an hour. the yesturday (wed) i again was up late (approx. 0225 hours) and i heard distinct boots walking slowing up our hardwood floor staircase. jumping out of bed again and turning the light on going over to the stairs and seeing nothing. i lay back down and again without saying anything hear 2 fairly loud sighs again this time as if they are only feet from me. sister n law states that something followed me home a female who liked me ( and doesnt like my wife) smudged the house with a sage thing twice already and still having the same occurrences or no luck. have also stated this female presence that she must leave and is not welcome in our home. can anyone shed some light on my started to believe in the paranormal and having my own expierences??? any replys would be appreciated. thanks again Matt

Absolutely! Let me tell you a story: Recently I went on an investigation to collect EVP. When I arrived home, I had several paranormal events in my house over the following days. I had never previously had any paranormal events at any house I'd ever lived in. In fact, the house I live in is a townhouse built in 1991 and the previous owner reports no activity or deaths. Anyway, over the next few days, 'it' interrupted me on the telephone several times, followed me to work (where it loudly walked up to me while in the bathroom), rapped on the walls and gave me a generally uneasy feeling all week. I think it left after a few days, but not before reminding me that I need to conduct my closing protection ceremony before I leave a site.

Definitely learn before going out there! I was previously a skeptic of the paranormal but this series of events made a believer out of me!!!

i definately pray when i enter and when i leave but my question is whats the thing with the cat appearing,what does it mean?i live in a very old house and there are several here mostly children i started seeing them after my son passed in my photos and in my videos.
we all go to funerals and move into old houses so do they follow us with out us knowing it,i also had a experience several times with cats so i look forward to your answer.

Spirits are around us all the time.....you will experience a certain smell , sound ,ect...
So its very common that a spirit may attach it self to you....
For us ,we always use mediums ( they are at different levels)* to help us determine if we are indeed clear from that location.......

note*
Mediums have different levels of awareness not all mediums are on the same plains...

Thank you, Ron. I also thought of this a couple of days ago: What may appear to be a spirit that 'hitched a ride' from the investigative location may also be a spirit that existed previously, though undetected, at or near the location where the investigator is living. As spirits are all around us, it may be said that the activity of viewing video, listening to EVP, ect. may stir up activity in that location even though there were no previous signs of activity. -Though I've heard the stirring of new activity following an investivation is often temporary, which leads me to believe the spirit is transitory rather than 'resident'. -As you said: The spirit may be attracted to someone among the group that interests them.

The use of a medium for detection is an interesting notion and worth considering. I have began saying a prayer and asking politely for spirits to remain at the location upon leaving an investigation. So far, it has worked.

Yes, maybe it has worked so far BUT,
Just remember one thing......
Evil , will not listen to your request.It often disguises it self as a small child or innocent.
And then attaches itself to you, it happened to me once.
Thats why, you need to be very careful "ALL THE TIME"

Yes - ENTITIES can come with you, to you, follow you -

But there is a difference between entities and the ghosts they manifest. A ghost can be attached to a place, an object, or a person, by the entity who manifests the ghost. But entities can go anywhere if they have a reason.

I had a visit from an entity last week who was English, drawn here by a psychic quiz I had created using her painting as a target. I didn't realize that the entity had very serious unresolved issues until one of the participants got a 100% hit on the target - everything she was getting came from the entity's life, including name, place, relationships, and manner of death. Stunned, I asked psychically that if the artist was really coming through, the participant should get a specific name. The specific name came through within the hour, with the additional message, "this is important" - and the news that the poor participant had a terrible headache. We realized the entity had attached to the participant.

I told the participant to tell the entity to come to me, and my head started splitting with pain at once. As I worked to bring the entity resolution, my place had every sign of being haunted: an electrical light flaring up, a brief appearance of the ghost, and lots of nudging and prodding. It ended when my spirit guides took the artist to her own guides, after she had a chance to just talk out her problems. No more signs of a haunting after that.

The lessons were many: we really don't know how great a range an entity might have, we need to be careful about what we do, and if a problem comes up, we need to know how to take care of it.

Something I wanted to add, which turned my life completely around. Spirits can follow you from anywhere you go, whether you are in a mall, grocery store, or even the playground. They are every where. I've had paranormal experiences all my life, but I tried to ignore what was happening to me and never looked into it or understood it. For me, the older I get, the more difficult it became to ignore. After living in my home for 15years, it suddenly gained a new spirit which seemed to act up those who were already here. the ones that were here prior never did anything. Sort of like very low energies. I feel this spirit followed me home from another town or the hospital my son was in. So it can happen anywhere, not just during investigations. Even though this happens, I do still recommend closing prayers as Ron suggests because you are stirring the situation up, but I just wanted to point out that this can happen even without investigating.
