826 Paranormal is the trade name that police officer James Myers goes by. He has been an officer of the law since 1998. Myers got involved with the paranormal through a chance meeting with famed Lorraine Warren at the Saint Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport , Connecticut. She was there getting cared for because of an injury on her knee.
myers started of by just taking a ton of photos of urban decay and abandoned buildings. He would go all over the East coast taking his photos. This all started when he was in High school. He continued to do his photography work even working for a local photo lab. Myers then became a police officer and found himself in very historical and some abandoned buildings. He started to get people commenting on his photos , stating that he was picking up images of the supernatural. Myers did not have much knowledge of this field , so he decided to start researching the field. Soon after he started to find that there were direct connections with some of his police calls and the paranormal. He found that there were many people that would not normally say anything about their possible haunted activities. They found comfort with talking to Myers and he would research the claims outside of work hours and come to conclusions and give answers to the concerned people. Myers also found that there was an increase in Occult activities while he was going to some of his crime scenes. This then lead him to Saint Vincent's hospital on a prisoner transport where he happen to meet Lorraine Warren. They immediately hit it off and Myers started to investigate for the NESPR organisation. Lorraine Warren liked the way Myers would go into a scene and pick apart things like a police investigator would. Myers uses his training and experience as a police officer to investigate these scenes and he gets to the truth of most situations.
Myers then started to pick up a lot of press because of him being a police officer investigating the paranormal. Later on there were a lot of police officers that expressed interest in the things Myers was doing, so he decided to start the East Coast Paranormal Police organization. There are 36 members of the group and the core group is made up of 8 main players in the investigative process.
Myers was recently promoted to the rank of Sergeant and he has taken a back seat to many of the investigations to concentrat on his new position in the police department. He has his crews out actiively investigating sites , but he does not get involved until the final investigation process. He is looking forward to getting back to the driver position of the group soon.
