Hi, my name is Dennie Guppy, I am the founder of GUARD the Ghost, Unit, Analysis, Research, Detection group based in Central Illinois. GUARD is a paranormal investigative team interested in finding out the facts surrounding the unusual occurrences you are experiencing. We won't just say a place is haunted!

Our investigators use specialized electronic equipment during all investigations. We also try to find out as much background information as we can concerning the property where the activity is being experienced.

GUARD GEOPHONE
What is the geophone? You may have seen a new device used on recent episodes of GH/GHI called a geophone. A geophone is a device that measures seismic vibrations down to 4-5 htz. As the geophone detects vibration it provides a signal to the electronics that amplify and document it in some form. There are many uses for this device. It's primary function would be to place it in an area where people have reported hearing footsteps and monitor the area with video surveillance. Now you can "see" footsteps rather than just report a personal experience. All matter constantly vibrates and is expressed as a frequency (i.e.- htz) which translates into sound. Although the human ear cannot hear frequencies in the lower spectrum, the geophone can. The sensitivity can be adjusted based upon your preference or need - passive or ultra sensitive. They are not new to the world but they are new in paranormal research.

GUARD will once again be holding a paranormal class in the up coming month's in Havana Gym in Havana, Illinois. We will be showing people who make a Donation to GUARD of $25.00 on line or $30.00 at the door what type of equipment we use. How to set up the equipment and how to do their own investigation. This Building was made back in the 1920, while doing an investigation in the building we found high EMF field. We did pick up some EVP's, mostly of sounds from unknown sources. We are hoping that the turn out will be as good as the Bailey House we did last year. The date will be posted soon.

GUARD has just completed a paranormal class, that we held at the Bailey House in Macomb, Illinois. The turn out was great and I was happy to see the large group that showed up at the door. GUARD wish to thank each and everyone for their support.

GUARD is growing and now have over 10 members, we even have Satellite Membership. This is something new and we believe that it could bring us new cases with the help of our Satellite Members. With the help of the new members and even more with the Satellite Membership, we believe will be a big help to GUARD. Not only have we added new members but it also helps the new members to learn how to investigated the paranormal. GUARD hope that we can help new members to learn how to set up equipment, and debunk some item's that could be environmental. We believe debunking and showing only the facts or evidence , isn't what makes a good paranormal investigator but a great one!
