GUARD use a RCA digital voice recoder RP5120. Don’t miss a word when you record with your RCA Digital Voice Recorder. RCA makes a number of recoders but this is the one we use. We have now started using the zoom H4 recoder but for the price the RCA is one of the best. This small recorder can store a hundred-hours of recorded voice /and or data files on the included flash memory. Easily connect to your PC with the built-in USB port

Main Features:
256MB Built-in Flash Memory – Allows user up to 1041 hours of recording. Record lectures, seminars, or important day to day notes, without the worry of running out of time!
USB – Built in USB port allows file download to PC. Once transferred to the PC, listen, share & save with our Digital Voice Management Program.
Automatic Voice-Activated Record (AVR) – Allows recorder to sense the sound & start recording automatically. Recording stops when sound stops.
Variable Speed Playback – Select from multiple playback speeds so you can listen to your recorded files at your own pace
Intro Scan – Preview message content to quickly find messages
Date/Time Stamp – Easily identify date & time a recording was made.
Additional Features – Editing functions, built-in speaker, built-in microphone, recording quality selector, low battery indicator, headphone jack.
Included Accessories – USB cable, batteries
Quick, Easy File Management – provides a DVM program to let you organize and store recordings to your PC.
Bookmark – Insert index marks to identify and quickly retrieve important sound bites.

This is the best we have been able to find price and recording its been the best! We down load the files in to the computer and it lets you change the file in to a wav. file. You then can run it with almost any software to halp clean it up if needed.
