The Face of Reality

I believe one must be careful not to fall into the fanciful thinking published in today’s books about the afterlife and ghosts. It seems that the general public has swallowed many of these supposed truths such as the myth of Earth bound spirits, and that we can and need to cross them over.  My question is do they need to be crossed over? Are they trapped here on Earth, probably not?

It seems to me that what we call paranormal is something natural that we have not come to fully understand. When a baby is born does the spiritual realm say “Now it’s time to cross this baby over into their human body” probably not.

So in reality the process of birth and death is a natural one. After death the spirit will go where all spirits go and we have no say-so in the matter. This statement may be difficult to accept for those who have strong beliefs to the contrary.

There has always been conflict between science and religion, but perhaps if we scientifically seek the answers to our questions we may end up with answers that science and religion can both agree upon.

One must have the courage to take off their blinders and stare into the face of reality.
