Hello! My name is Joe Johnson and I am the Founder of Western Arkansas Paranormal. I, along with my wife Beth and our very good friend Steve make up the core of WAP. We are located in Greenwood Arkansas, in the Arkansas River Valley just south of Ft. Smith. We want to thank everyone who has so warmly welcomed us into the Paranormal Community since we founded in October of 2008. Although our group is new, we as investigators are not new to the field.
Our philosophy on any investigation is to first find the cause,and explain the problem to the client. We then suggest ways to remedy the problem. For example, if we are finding a high EMF field and locate a electrical panel that is producing the high EMF with all kinds of wires running from it, then we will recommend that the client get an electrician to fix the situation. This may also save the lives of the client,as it may avert a fire from the electrical panel. If the client is only having experiences in their bedroom and there is an older type electric radio/alarm clock next to the bed, we will test the device for high EMF, because as we all know, high EMF can cause hallucinations and several other types of problems. We look for the obvious, then the less obvious before we call it paranormal. We are not going to call a place haunted just because we took a picture of a room with a million "orbs" in it. The likely cause of the orbs in the photo is dust, especially if there is carpet in the room and floor type vents, this in and of itself will throw dust everywhere thereby contaminating the picture. We are skeptical believers. We believe there is something else after death, but we are skeptical until we get ( in our minds ) evidence that proves otherwise. Now we also understand that evidence is speculative in nature. One man's dust is another mans spirit, so we do not to judge others, but respectfully submit our opinion as to our belief in what we are looking at. We value all input and are willing to have our evidence looked at by others as well.

We are all after the same thing in this field, absolute, inarguable, concrete proof of spirit activity. Lets work together to get it!
